Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT)

IIM Indore conducts the Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT), a national-level entrance exam. The IPMAT exam grants admission into the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), the first in India. Later many other institutes started offering five-year integrated programs in Management and recognized the IPMAT Indore score. The IPM is a well-crafted course that aims to identify and develop young individuals possessing the potential to become future leaders in the corporate sector.

Colleges Accepting IPMAT Indore Score

IIM Indore: Founded in 1996, the Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-I) is one of the top MBA colleges in India. It was the sixth addition to the IIM family, which started with IIM Calcutta in 1961. The institution was set up by the Department Of Higher Education Of the HRD Ministry of the Government Of India to provide quality business education that can be considered at par with the best in the world.

IIM Ranchi: The ninth Indian Institute of Management was established at Ranchi in 2009. This was made possible with the extensive support of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and the Government of Jharkhand, working under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Institute of Management-Nirma University, IIFT Delhi, NALSAR University of Law, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and TAPMI Bangalore also accepting Score of IPMAT Indore.

Eligibility Criteria of IPMAT Indore

Eligibility criteria may vary slightly across different IIMs, but generally, candidates who have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) education are eligible to apply.

• Age:- Candidate should be born on or after August 01, 2004 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ ST/ PWD category is given i.e. born on or after August 01, 1999).
• Qualifying Exam:- Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in the past 3 years of the current year.
• Standard X/SSC or Equivalent: – Candidate should have passed Standard X/SSC

Application Process for IPMAT Indore:

• Interested candidates need to register online and fill out the application form.
• The application form submission window typically opens in March or April each year.
• Applicants can download their admit cards after successful registration.

Exam Pattern:

• The exam consists of two sections:
  • Quantitative Ability (QA): This section assesses mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Verbal Ability (VA): This section evaluates language comprehension and communication skills.
• The examination is conducted in a computer-based format.

Syllabus:

The first section on Quantitative Aptitude is split into MCQs and Short Answer (SA) questions.

There are more questions on Arithmetic in the IPMAT exam. A few questions in the IPMAT exam are also based on Mensuration, Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Equations, Logarithm, Geometry, Matrices and Determinants, Basics of Data Interpretation, and Data Sufficiency among others.

Selection Process:

• Following the examination, the authorities invite the shortlisted candidates to participate in a Written Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI).
• The final selection is based on the combined performance of the written exam, WAT, and PI.
