How to write SSB Screening PPDT

Kindly note some important do’s for writing a good story for SSB Screening PPDT

  1. Visualize clearly and note down the number of characters, and try to be a keen observant for looking all unique and fine points in the image. 

2. Choose your central character, and add age to it; mostly, you can mention your age because its your reflection in the picture.

3. Determine the length of the story based on the given timeframe of 4 minutes. Ensure that you begin and end the story on a good note and not unfinished.

4. Avoid framing a negative narrative and instead choose a positive storyline.

5. Break your story into parts – beginning, middle, and end and make use of all your characters equitably throughout the story.

6. Do not have an abrupt end to the story.

7. Stick to a logical and realistic story plot and avoid any negative or unrealistic connotations.

8. Be confident and fluent while narrating your story.

9. Keep it simple and interesting, and avoid jargon or ornamented vocabulary to impress.

STEP : 1 Closely observe the picture within 30 seconds then co-relating whatever observed in the picture to decide an idea (generally based on your life experiences) that matches the picture to write your story.

STEP : 2 Divide the story into 3 parts viz. introduction, main body & conclusion.

STEP : 3 In the introduction give a background about hero & situation that he faced (positive or negative) within 2 lines.

STEP : 4 In the main body, write the actions and ways through which the hero tackles situation briefly in 6 lines.

STEP : 5 Finally conclude the story briefly in 2 lines like what was the end result & how is it benefiting to all.
